During this 1 day workshop you will combine embroidery with a photographic image taken by Rosie of New Zealand landscapes and flora printed on fabric.

You will be given the opportunity to select one, this will be printed on fabric as the basis for your embroidery, then transfer an embroidery stitching pattern/overlay of your choosing onto the fabric.

You will learn some basic low-tech ways of transferring stitch overlays onto fabric, and with Rosie's guidance identify stitches that work for the design. This is ideal for practising stitches you already know or learning some additional stitches for your artwork.

You can make the stitching as simple or as complex as you wish, doing a simple outline or filling in with colour and texture to enrich your design.

At the end of the workshop you will have a small artwork that you can continue working on.
